Meet the facilitators

Note: Each discussion group will be facilitated by one of the individuals below.
Dr. Devon Wilson
Dr. Devon Wilson’s passion for animals and agriculture began on her family’s grain farm in rural Saskatchewan. She earned her Veterinary Medicine degree in 2015, a MSc in 2019, and a PhD in 2023. She has worked in large animal practice, and as a project consultant for universities, animal industry groups, and veterinary companies. She currently lives in British Columbia with her family and serves as an Assistant Code Manager with the National Farmed Animal Care Council. Devon has experience conducting focus groups and values these opportunities to facilitate open dialogue and shared learning among producers.
Dr. Rachel Budd
Dr. Rachel Budd (Benschop) graduated with her Veterinary Medicine degree in 2021. She has worked in Southwestern Ontario as a dairy veterinarian since graduating. Some of her veterinary interests involve calf health, reproduction, and data driven decision making. Rachel’s experience working with farm teams and facilitating workshops motivates her to foster open conversations. Rachel loves spending her free time in her vegetable garden, at the gym, or reading a good book. She lives with her husband and son near Woodstock, Ontario.
